Summer with Intrepid FS

Halton Down Syndrome Walk

In June, Craig and his team were the Platinum sponsors for the Halton Down Syndrome Association’s first in person walk post-pandemic! Being the platinum sponsor, reflected Craig’s commitment to be a part of a community that works together to improve the quality of life for individuals with Down syndrome and their families. The Halton Down Syndrome Association is an active leader in advocacy, education and support within the community. Intrepid F.S. wholeheartedly supports the charity’s goal of empowering individuals with Down syndrome to reach their full potential throughout their lives.

The day was full of bubbles, prizes and laughs. Our team cannot wait to go back next year!

Dreams Take Flight Golf Tournament

The "Dreams Take Flight Charity Golf Tournament" is an inspiring and community-driven event that combines the love of golf with the power of giving. Craig and the Intrepid team took part not only in the tournament itself but also sponsored the putting contest! This annual tournament aims to raise money in order to fund a once in a lifetime trip to Disney World. The chapter volunteers work closely with medical, social and school organizations to select children for the experience who would otherwise not have the opportunity. Golfers and supporters from all walks of life come together for a day of friendly competition on the greens, all while making a significant impact on the lives of individuals and families facing challenges!

Client Appreciation at African Lion Safari

This Summer, Nick and Intrepid F.S. invited clients and their families for a sunny day on the Safari! Over 100 smiling faces were in attendance making the event a great success for everyone! Because of the generosity of the attendees, the event was able to collect 186 food items, allowing the team to donate 5 boxes of non-perishables to Ste. Louise Outreach / Food Bank in downtown Brampton. The food bank has been open for over 30 years, and is a 100% volunteer run program, allowing for all proceeds and donations to be passed on to families in need! Donations form part of their outreach program, allowing low income families the opportunity to place an order for groceries on an ongoing basis. In addition to food, they also accept donations of Clothing, Diapers/Baby Supplies, Toys and Cash for the support of their programs, with all cash donations receiving a receipt for tax purposes. As we all know these are very difficult times for families in our community, and we most certainly want to do what we can to support those in need as a community! Going forward we will be sure to consider Ste. Louise, or any other charities that you may know of that we can add to our support list. For those of you who would like more information on Ste. Louise Outreach and how we can be of assistance, or know of anyone in need of assistance, please feel free to visit: https://stelouisefoodbank.ca/home  Our day was topped off with raffle prizes including gift cards, Golf bags and powder room renovations!
